MEET ALEX

Alexander Hawkins is running to serve the people in Michigan's 10th Congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives. Raised in Metro Detroit, he has dedicated his life to service and duty. Alex and his wife Amanda live in Rochester, Michigan with their dog Luna. Amanda is a a 3rd year medical student at Michigan State University.

Alex is a U.S. Army EOD "Explosive Ordnance Disposal" Officer, Active Duty Veteran, and Oakland County Reserve Sheriff's Deputy.  Alex worked tirelessly to improve the lives of his fellow constituents and veterans through his time as a Green and Gold Congressional Aide for U.S. Senator Elissa Slotkin.

"We need fresh leadership in Congress—leaders who won’t be bought by elites. I love this country and everything it stands for, and I’ll never stop fighting to make it better. We should always strive toward a more perfect union. This campaign isn’t about playing into the toxic partisanship that’s dividing us, it’s about the real people who make this country a place folks are excited to invest in. It’s about bringing people together and reminding those in power that government is meant to serve the people, not special interests."
